Breast Implant Illness Protocol

Have plastic surgeons told you that your symptoms are in your head and your breast implants are safe? Were you told they have a black box warning and contain ingredients like heavy metals, polyvinyl chloride (the ingredient in the Ohio derailment chemical spill), epoxy resin, and other volatile organic compounds? The main problem is silicone, a completely manmade industrial toxin that can leech or "gel bleed" into the lymph and systemic circulation.

Overview

Breast implant illness refers to a wide range of symptoms that occur after getting breast implants, ranging from autoimmunity to neurological issues. While the conclusive data is controversial and BII is not an “official medical diagnosis,” women who explant report improvements in health or even full resolution of unexplained symptoms.

Women who have saline or silicone implants are susceptible to BII. Saline is more susceptible to mold/yeast. Both contain silicone and can gel bleed or leech. Silicone is a manmade industrial toxin that can enter the lymphatic system, lymph nodes, fascia, and bloodstream and is a serious health risk, despite what your plastic surgeon might have told you.

Other ingredients contained in breast implants include tin, platinum, arsenic, hexanes, polyvinyl chloride, benzene, and chloroform.

How can we think this is safe? It’s not, so the FDA recently put a black box warning, its most serious warning, on breast implants.
How can we safely detox? The first thing to do is to consider removing the implants, which may be a process for you and take some time. En-bloc capsulectomies are always recommended, and opening drainage is crucial to healing from the disease.

Heavy Metals

This is a urine test so you will need to provocate (using ALA with EDTA in our heavy metals protocol) prior to taking the test for accurate results. The Heavy Metals panel examines heavy metal toxicity to 20 of the most common heavy metals, which can be found in the environment, air, water sources, and common consumer products. Heavy metal toxicity can contribute to a total toxic burden and cause inflammatory symptoms including neurological and cognitive (brain) dysfunction, metabolic problems, digestive complaints, impaired detoxification, and more.
