Breast implant illness refers to a wide range of symptoms that occur after getting breast implants that can range from joint pain and headaches to neurological issues. While the conclusive data is controversial and BII is not an “official medical diagnosis,” women who explant report improvements in health or even full resolution of unexplained symptoms. Women who have saline or silicone implants are susceptible to BII. Saline is more susceptible to mold/yeast.
