During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were told repeatedly that the virus was deadly and the cause of much disruption around the world. Our health “experts” assured us that if only we could develop a “vaccine,” everything would be ok.
That was their story.
However, humans have survived on this planet for many millennia because a healthy body with a healthy immune system is set to deal with viruses. For the most part, we don’t need medicine or vaccines to stay healthy, with some exceptions which have already been dealt with like smallpox and polio.
When we look at the official numbers from the CDC regarding deaths from, or with, COVID-19, only about 5% of those deaths occurred in people who were otherwise healthy. About 95% of those who died from this virus had an average of 4 co-morbidities, or other conditions causing their death.
What should be our takeaway from this data? It means that just because something is a virus, we aren’t automatically going to die from it. We have thousands of viruses in our bodies at any given time. Some may be beneficial.
