When you are trying to get pregnant, your body needs to function at an optimal level. This means ensuring that you get the appropriate levels and minerals and trace elements each day. Our modern diets can be significantly deficient in these minerals and trace elements. Indeed, government reports show that trace elements in our food supply have declined as much as 67% from their levels 40 years ago.

But our need for those trace elements has not declined. We still need them, especially when we want to get pregnant.

Quinton as an optimum source of minerals and trace elements

Many of these minerals and trace elements are very rare in land-raised foods like meats and vegetables. However, our oceans still contain what our bodies need to be healthy. The action of zooplankton and phytoplankton makes these trace elements available to our bodies so our cells can use them, especially during reproduction.

Quinton is such an element, and it is a mineral-rich seawater product that is harvested from a plankton bloom. Specifically, the harvest takes place in the pristine, internationally protected area of the Bay of Biscay in the Atlantic Ocean off of France. It is micro-filtered to pharmaceutical grade.

Quinton contains 78 minerals and trace elements in the right proportions for our bodies to function at optimal levels.

Natural seawater minerals and trace elements

The marketplace offers lab-sourced minerals. However, natural Quinton comes directly from a protected vortex plankton bloom in the Bay of Biscay. It is organically based, bioavailable, and a complete mineral supplement. Natural Quinton is processed according to Rene Quinton’s original protocols developed over 120 years ago.

The precise location of the plankton bloom ensures that the minerals have the maximum absorption capacity. Processing typically uses cold-sterilized micro-filtration to protect the balance of the nutrients.

Quinton and pregnancy

The fertility industry is robust, and you will find entire shelves at your local pharmacy dedicated to pregnancy and fertility health. However, if your body is deficient in the correct balance of minerals and trace elements, those products may not be effective. Research shows that the minerals and trace elements are interdependent and reliant on each other.

How did Quinton become associated with better fertility levels? Early in the 20th century, doctors in France gave couples Quinton marine plasma. Women who had been struggling to conceive were then able to conceive without interventions. They carried their babies to term with a lower risk of difficulties during labor. This proved so successful that many of the babies were called “Quinton babies.”

Now Quinton is being studied more thoroughly by Dr. Roy Dittman, an American naturopath. He authored the book Brighton Baby, and he suggests that couples trying to conceive add a regimen of Quinton to their supplements. He advocates that couples should begin taking Quinton at least 3 months in advance of trying to conceive in order to improve the health of both eggs and sperm. This will improve the chance of a successful and healthy conception.

Both male and female reproductive organs rely on having healthy cells. We know that women are born with all of the eggs present. However, they must go through a maturation process for healthy fertilization. Sperm are produced within the testes, so their healthy production is essential.

In addition, eggs and sperm need the correct hormones in the right ratios to replicate and divide properly. And sperm must function correctly for optimum motility and ability to penetrate eggs.

Now a new branch of medicine called nutrigenomics is investigating the effect of nutrition on genetic expression. Healthy cells are supplied with the minerals and trace elements they need to help your developing baby’s cells reach their full genetic expression as well. Current research shows that nutritional deficiencies during pregnancy can increase the baby’s risk of developing obesity, diabetes, and heart disease later in life.

Optimum nutrition prior to conception and during gestation improves your child’s health all the way into adulthood. Quinton plays a key role in helping couples reach optimum nutrition during these crucial times.
